Line experiments

These were a idea I had about subtlety - like a breeze across some grass,
Originally experiments as ink on paper... one wrong move = ruin!
So thought I'd use Illustrator for speed purposes.

You know what, they just didn't give me the same satisfaction,
romance or autistic obsession of doing it by hand. Early days yet.

Potential t-shirt designs though.

New Font

This is a new font I have created using an initial 5cm x 5cm square.

It wasn't until I turned it 45 degrees to become isometric,
that its true strength revealed itself I believe.

-Almost finished but untitled as of yet-

Self portrait competition at work

I've been getting called it from all angles in recent weeks; 'hobbit'.
As fate would have it, we had a self portrait competition at work.

I thought; I might as well embrace it. It's surprising what you can achieve.
I won't know for a while who wins what....

My tongue is firmly in my cheek on this one. (You wont catch me
running around at armour at the weekend pretending to be lancelot.)

Did I mention I was an extra for 'The Borrowers' - the movie?
I see a pattern emerging... eh? my precious.

Bleeding gun

Crazy Clarks army supplies. $2.50 ish
Made in China

I had this idea of a bleeding gun
which with unconvincing
tomato sauce, is open to many potential interpretations:

a) Man made mass-produced objects having a soul.
Someone designed them; leaving the essence
of themselves in the object?

bi) The gun = a solid uncompromising object devoid
of organic
life. Then cut open to be shown as having a flesh interior,
and a soul - a surreal idea about how we perceive matter and
objects around us.

bii) One day we open our TV to find not components,
but instead flesh, bone and intestines,or slice a chunk from
a table to reveal shin bones and marrow?

c) Perhaps the fragility of the geopolitial landscape, with China rapidly
growing as an global player:

Is their economical/technological/military ascent built on fragile ground?

OR...

After.
